About the Creator

My name is Idris, and I became a Project Manager at just 20 years old—but the journey wasn’t easy. I spent 12 months applying to roles, interviewing, networking, and learning everything I could about breaking into tech. I previously owned a blue collar logistics company but was never satisfied with the work life balance. I’m a former student-athlete, & moving company owner Today, I work remotely as an IT Project Manager for a Fortune 22 company. My experience taught me that once you break into tech, everything changes—your confidence, your income, your opportunities. Now, my mission is to help as many people as possible escape low-paying, unfulfilling jobs and build meaningful, well-paid careers in tech.

   What is PathU?

Most people trying to break into IT project management fail because they start at step 5. In this video I walk through the actual order of operations — the same one I used to go from running a moving company to working as an IT PM at a Fortune 25 company, no CS degree, no certifications until after I already had the job. Entry-level PM pay starts strong and the field is projected to keep growing well into the 2030s — and the parts of the job that survive AI (judgment, trust, reading a room) are the parts that make you promotable, not obsolete.
